Paint Prep lead

The roles and responsibilities of Paint Preparation are as follows:

  • Clean and prep metal for the finishing process
  • Sandblasting
  • Applying and sanding body filler
  • Applying and sanding primer
  • Sand body filler and primers
  • Mixing and prepping paint materials for spray applications
  • Grinding and shaping
  • inspect parts to insure quality
  • Maintain a clean work area
  • Follow company quality and safety standards
  • Collaborate effectively with the entire SEI Manufacturing team to assure clear communication
  • Preform related duties assigned by the Supervisor

Minimum and Preferred requirements:

  • Willing to train motivated individuals
  • Must have a good attendance record
  • Must have a can do attitude
  • Must be willing to work in a team environment
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Must have a desire to produce high quality parts
  • Ability to read and understand prints preferred but not required
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
